
Dr. Lucy Cheng is a board-certified dermatologist. She earned her medical degree from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine and was part of their Medical Scholars Program. She then completed an internal medicine year at New York University Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center and went on to complete her dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Cheng has extensive research experience, including a year-long fellowship at the Howard Hughes Medical Fellows Program at UCLA Dermatology and served as the program’s west coast chair. She has also devoted significant time to providing medical care to underserved populations, working as a free clinic lab manager and coordinating health screenings in San Diego.
Dr. Cheng believes strongly in the importance of educating patients on their skin conditions. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and Women’s Dermatologic Society. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading mystery books, and spending time with her dogs.
